Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has described persons kicking against the controversial towing levy as ignorant adding that their reasons are not tenable.

He observed that some individual politicians are kicking against the mandatory towing policy, but from their reasons, it is nothing short of ignorance on their part.

“Unnecessary politicization, envy, and jealousy on the part of some members of the New Patriotic Party NPP) such as Abronye DC and Franklin Cudjoe are the reasons some persona are speaking against the policy”, he claims.

“When the policy came to light, there were a whole lot of baseless controversies from them without having any understanding and knowledge of it. They made every noise and threatened to quit NPP because of ignorance, envy and jealousy”, he intimated.

According to him, after a careful reflection and taking the time to study the contract agreement, it is important everyone supports the law contrary to his earlier position against it.

“For all that, they were saying and were unable to trace the leg and tail of it. I found time to go to the National Road Safety Commission to demand a better explanation from them”.

“After they furnished me with the necessary documents to study them, I realized the policy is a good one everyone should brace himself/herself for it”, Lawyer Morris Ampaw spoke at a forum organized by Public Education Bureau in Kumasi.

“One time I was on my way to Sunyani to make a case as a legal practitioner when I reached Abesewa I drove into a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of the road when my car somersaulted for more than eight times”, he recollected.

“Polarization the whole issues the implementer is a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress is low headed to hear from critics”,

The controversial lawyer, therefore, urged the people to give their full to the government to help curb carnages on roads.
