Bishop and founder of Perez Chapel, Charles Agyinasare has taken a dig at prophets whose vision of what is to happen cause fear and panic.

He explains that as a Prophet what you prophecy should edify and guide the lives of the people you speak to.

He was convinced that such pastors weren't true men of God as they fail to make the right impact with their prophecies.

Bishop Agyinasare expressed worry about some of the so-called prophecies some prophets make claiming at it causes unnecessary fear and apprehension among Ghanaians.

"For a number of the prophets without being specific to anyone. Prophesy is supposed t edify, comfort and admonish. For a number of the prophets and the prophesies that come every January, it is like we should run away from this country. The new testament prophet is not supposed to do that" he stressed

He revealed that he has in the past fought and prayed against a prophecy from a prophet he thought wasn't right.

The prophet had predicted the death of Former President Mahama but the Perez Chapel founder said that he cancelled the vision in spiritual realm to prevent it from manifesting since it would have caused fear and panic.

"I thought that we had just come out of one president dying and for a nation, it wasn't right to have another person die. What would have happened is that we would have had a situation where nobody would have wanted to be the president of this country and for me being one of the spiritual gatekeepers of the Cedi/City I thought that we should scatter that word in the Heavens and we did by praying" he disclosed

The respected Bishop emphasised that it was possible to reverse any prophetic word provided there is a show of repentance.

Citing different cases from the scriptures he said, "...no matter the prophetic word that comes, God said Hezekiah you are going to die, Hezekiah said God remember my good works, God sent Isaiah back - go and tell him I have changed it. So every prophetic word can change depending on what you do. God said Ahab because of a, b, c, d you are going to die, Ahab becomes remorseful so God changes his mind. So God can change his mind if you repent" he stated.

Presiding Bishop of the Perez Chapel, Charles Agyinasare also cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of prophets who only prophesy on 31st night.

Bishop Agyinasare feared that some of the prophecies that come out every January rather carry bad news and creates fear and panic noting it was improper for Prophets to cause anxiety in the nation with their prophecies.

"For a number of the prophets without being specific to anyone. Prophesy is supposed t edify, comfort and admonish. For a number of the prophets and the prophesies that come every January, it is like we should run away from this country. The new testament prophet is not supposed to do that" he stressed.

Ahead of the new year 2018, many prophets including Founder of Glorious Word Ministries International Isaac Owusu Bempah made several predictions ranging from deaths of key personalities in the entertainment, sports and political sectors, accidents and disasters.

Specifically, Isaac Owusu Bempah predicted the fall of a first lady, Former President and a great king in Ghana.

Same prophet in during his 2016 watchnight service gave 17 prophecies that were ecpected to happen in 2017.

They included; Death of a former president, death of a former first lady, Coup d'etat in Ghana, death of Nigeria's president, terrorist attack in Ghana, death of several young men and women, important personalities in parliament will die, many people will be kidnapped, innocent blood will be shed in a particular political party, increase in occult practices, Americans will go for war, more Muslim/Christian clashes this year, a great king will die, another plane crash in Ghana, fire outbreaks in important offices in Ghana, more celebrities (Actors, musicians and media practitioners) in Ghana to die, NDC to stay in opposition for 16 years.

However, when quizzed about whether believers should take such a prophet serious, Bishop Agyinasare remarked that so many prophets make 31st watchnight service predictions and regarding the prophecies of Owusu Bempah he added "I don't want to go into that line"

Perez Chapel is organising a festival of miracles, an annual crusade held to seek the healing mercies of Christ.

The crusade which marks his 35th year of doing the work of God will be held at the Independence Square from 30th January to 2nd February 2018.

Bishop Agyinasare is hopeful that all believers who attend the three-day event will be met at their point of need as having been the case in previous years.
