The Eastern Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Yussif Amudani Sulemana, has called on political parties to campaign on issues devoid of insult, rancour and name calling in the run up to the 2016 elections.

He called on all Muslims to maintain the virtues, attributes and moral values of love, compassion, forgiveness and charity, espoused during the month of Ramadan.

He encouraged Muslims to conduct themselves well in the upcoming 2016 election, to ensure an incident free election.
