A Communication member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B is wondering why the Convention People’s Party (CPP) is quiet while Dr Kwame Nkrumah is being ‘denigrated’.
This follows NDC’s use of Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s voice in one of its campaign advertisements.
According to Nana B, CPP should condemn the act since the achievements of Dr Kwame Nkrumah cannot be compared to that of President John Mahama.
“Are CPP members in this country? How can they sit down for the NDC to be denigrating Dr Kwame Nkrumah? Was there this level of corruption in Kwame Nkrumah’s administration? Hardship, stealing, unemployment?...what kind of blasphemy is this? Comparing such an incompetent president to Kwame Nkrumah…I mean how? This administration has rather collapsed most of the companies established by Kwame Nkrumah; that is why I don’t understand why the CPP is quiet…” he pontificated on Peacefm's "Kokrokoo" Tuesday.
Reacting to Nana B’s remark on CPP, Kwesi Pratt, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper said it is never true that the CPP is silent.
He told Nana B “don’t create the impression that CPP can’t speak for themselves…you have no right to challenge us…you can’t tell us what to do. It is not true we are not speaking or acting. I would have been very happy if Kwame Nkrumah was alive today…President Kufuor also used Kwame Nkrumah for his campaign”.
