Independent Presidential Candidate steps in GNA

Accra, Jan. 31, GNA - Mr. Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah, an Independent Presidential Candidate on Thursday identified self-empowerment for sustainable wealth creation as the only means by which Ghana could develop.

"Let us shift focus from government and rather look into the private sector to drive the nation forward. When quizzed about his motivation, he said there was too much polarization in our party systems and that, "there should be neutrality at the top to bring development to the nation". Mr Amoafo-Yeboah said the country was bedevilled with too much unemployment and other such social issues and called for radical measures to address such issues.

"We need to take an inward look into our domestic consumption and develop it to create more jobs for the people", he said.
