Former President John Dramani Mahama is with unmeasured hope and faith in God declaring that in the year 2020, victory will smile on the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to end the worries of Ghanaians.

The NDC flagbearer as part of his thank you tour of the Central Region last week, observed that that Ghanaians are willing to return NDC to power since they have been disappointed in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

With a huge crowd at places he visited to interact with drivers, market women and among others, they complained bitterly that they allowed themselves to be deceived by NPP and are now regretting their actions a little over two years in power.

But Mr. Mahama in response, said he is very happy that Ghanaians have carried water and alcohol and have distinguished between the two which is heavier with a strong believe the NDC shall return in 2020.

“Inshallah NDC will win power in 2020”. He said to cheers from the gathered crowd

Some residents put stones in front of Mahama and begged him to forgive them for voting him out of power.

He later ended his tour at Awutu Senya where he called for unity among his party members following disunity that resulted in the party losing a lot of seats to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The former President expressed disappointment that Awutu Senya which used to be an NDC seat has now been taken and called on the NDC executives and footsoldiers to come together as one umbrella and work hard to snatch the seat.

According to him, the NDC massive developmental projects in Awutu Senya including Kasoa interchange, construction of two Senior High School, Polyclinic hospital, 20 boreholes, construction of 30 kilometers roads could have helped the party to win the seat but due to disunity the party lost the seat.
