The Minister for information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says security agencies in and outside of Ghana are currently working together to unravel the case of the missing Takoradi girls.
Addressing a news conference in his office, the information Minister, describing the kidnapping as a heartbreaking situation said the government is hopeful that the new collaboration will help find the girls.
“We want to encourage the public and the media to assist with additional information. The Police and other security agencies tell us that they have had a lot of information that they are already working with but we want to again encourage public analysis the media to assist with additional information that can speed up the efforts” the information Minister stated.
He urged the media to use their channels to call for information and to facilitate the provision of information.
“Our security agencies have demonstrated that whenever they get good information, they are able to get to the bottom of matters. So while our hearts are with the families, we continue to keep fingers crossed and follow the reports that they are making available to us on this high-level collaborative effort involving a number of agencies in and outside of Ghana”
