Private legal practitioner, lawyer Maurice Ampaw has opined that the involvement of Samuel Mahama, brother of former President John Dramani Mahama is gradually unveiling the former president as the government official 1.

He told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, soon Ghanaians will get to know whether the former president is involved in the scandal.

The lawyer indicated that all those who are connected to the case will soon be exposed.

He was of the view that the Special Prosecutor should invite former President Mahama for questioning.

Mr. Ampaw said it is quite obvious that the former president has been exposed because of his brother Samuel Mahama.

He believes the mystery behind the case should be discovered and the o0nly person who can help is Mr. Mahama.

"If Samuel Mahama has been invited, then we don’t need any strong evidence to state equivocally that the government official 1 is Mahama. The SP should not exhibit any form of fear in inviting Mr. John Mahama. We have to get to the bottom of this,” he added.

"If the SP does not call Mahama, some of us will call him to come,” he stated.

The SP, Martin Amidu Special has invited four persons to answer some questions on the various roles they allegedly played in the sale and purchase of the controversial Airbus scandal.

The invitation comes after a preliminary investigation was conducted into the purchase of three aircraft from Airbus SE for Ghana.

Samuel Mahama, whom Mr. Amidu describes as a brother of former President John Mahama, as well as three British nationals namely Philip Sean Middlemiss, Sarah Davis and Sarah Furneaux are expected to make themselves available for questioning.
