Involve rural women in reproductive health issues -advocated

Tamale, (Northern Region) 3 Nov. '98 A volunteer family planning advocate has stressed the need to involve women at the grassroots in finding solutions to reproductive health problems. Alhaji Hussein Zakaria, Chairman of the Volunteers Association of the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) who made the call in Tamale on Monday, said this would not only ensure that the right solutions are found but would also make the rural women see and appreciate the need for changes to lead more productive lives. Alhaji Hussein was speaking at the start of a 10-day seminar on reproductive health for 32 people drawn from the PPAG and other collaborating agencies from the West Mamprusi District. It was organised by the PPAG to provide them with knowledge on gender and reproductive health issues.
