Isaac Adongo has zero understanding of economic issues - CVM

Founder and President of Concerned Voters Movement (CVM), Razak Kojo Opoku has stated that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Hon. Isaac Adongo's understanding on financial and economic issues in Ghana is too 'empty' and 'low'.

Hon. Isaac Adongo over the weekend said President Akufo-Addo's assertions that the government rejected 179 representing 52 per cent of the 346 Requests for Restricted Tenders in 2017 and approved only 167 representing 48 percent, is 'empty analysis'.

"The President is now suffering from Dr. Bawumia's empty analysis. If your Ministers inflate contract and 44% of these contracts are rejected from being pushed through sole sourcing, how can you just put the proposed contract sums together and say you have saved the state those money?", Adongo queried.

But in a sharp rebuttal, CVM boss said it is quite rather unfortunate for Hon. Isaac Adongo to state that Akufo-Addo is suffering from Bawumia's 'empty analysis'.

According to him, "Maybe, Isaac Adongo indebtedness to GN Bank is causing him to make babbling and unconcise statements or speeches concentrated with 'bullshit' or 'nonsense' against Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.

He also added that, "The sensibility and sensitivity of Isaac Adongo to financial and economic matters is too empty to appreciate and comprehend the significance of the remarkable achievements of President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia's Government".

He reaffirmed his comment that the good people of Bolgatanga Central Constituency will at all times regret for voting for such a financial and economic 'empty-headed' person into Parliament.

He therefore lauded President Akufo-Addo for taking such a bold decision to save the country a whooping GHc. 800 million.

"If incompetent Mahama's Administration was able to save even 0.1% of the GHC 800million, Ghana's finances could have improved significantly", he asked.

According to him, "The Auditor General's annual reports have in the past noted that about 80% of Procurement malpractices are centred around sole sourcing and the practices were extremely high during the period of John Mahama's Administration".

Isaac Adongo is rather Suffering from His Indebtedness to GN Bank-CVM

It is quite unfortunate for Isaac Adongo to state that, "Akufo-Addo is suffering from Bawumia's empty analysis".

During the 2nd SONA, President Akufo-Addo stressed that 394 sole sourcing requests were made, out of which 223 were approved, and 171 were rejected. The savings made over the year (2017) as a result amounted to some GHC 800million.

But according to the incompetent brain of Isaac Adongo, this is not an achievement to be proud of. Very interesting.

If incompetent Mahama's Administration was able to save even 0.1% of the GHC 800million, Ghana's finances could have improve significantly.

The Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply, indicated that Ghana lost GHC100 million through various unethical procurement practices in 2015 under the watch of John Mahama's Administration.

The Auditor General's annual reports have in the past noted that about 80% of Procurement malpractices are centred around sole sourcing and the practices were extremely high during the period of John Mahama's Administration.

In 2016 alone under the incompetent John Mahama's Administration, the Public Procurement Authority had 622 sole source requests. 577 of that number were approved and there were only 25 rejections. There were 592 requests made for restricted tenders, and 587 were approved and there were only 5 rejections. A grand total of *zero savings* were made through the procurement process under the NDC Administration.

However, under the one year of competent and supersonic visionary NPP Government, 394 sole sourcing requests were made out of which 223 were approved and 171 rejected. 346 requested for restricted tenders and 167 were approved and 179 were rejected thereby saving GHC 800 million for the country.

Maybe, Isaac Adongo indebtedness to GN Bank is causing him to make babbling and unconcise statements or speeches concentrated with 'bullshit' or 'nonsense' against Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.

The sensibility and sensitivity of Isaac Adongo to financial and economic matters is too empty to appreciate and comprehend the significance of the remarkable achievements of President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia's Government.

As we keep saying, the people of Bolgatanga will at all times regret voting for such a financial and economic 'empty-headed' person into Parliament.
