Hearts of Oak youngster, Isaac Mensah is back to the club after a deal with Al Ittihad Alexandria of Egypt hit a rough patch.

The skillful winger was supposed to be on a short-term loan deal with the Egyptian giants. However, failure on the part of Al Ittihad to honor their financial obligations to Hearts crashed the deal.

Mensah, also known as ‘Messi’ returned to Ghana on Tuesday. He was at the team’s training grounds on Wednesday but did not train.

The 22-year-old in an interview with FootballMadeInGhana.com said he was sad that the deal failed to materialise due to monetary disagreements between both clubs. He however added that he’s gained some quality experience being with Al Ittihad Alexandria all this while.

“Things did not go the way I hoped for and I’m back to Hearts of Oak. But it wasn’t all that disappointing for me because I learnt a few things in my short stay with Al Ittihad” said Mensah.

“I trained with them and played in some friendly matches but I was not able to feature in the league. I am back now to see what I can do to help the team compete for laurels in the coming season”.
