'It is not about how long you serve but how well you serve' - Mahama says as he launches campaign in Tamale

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially launched its campaign for the 2024 general elections.

The event, which happened at Tamale in the Northern Region on July 27, 2024, saw Mahama announce that he is ready to do his best to put the country on the right path.

According to the former president who can only rule for one term if he wins the December elections, "Four years of a good leader will make more impact than eight years of a dishonest leader, it is not about how long you serve but about how well you serve.”

In his concluding statement, Mahama said the NDC would not rest until its goal of securing power is achieved.

He also called on all and sundry to join the NDC in its cause.

“Once we launch this campaign we are not going to sit. We are going to go from market to market. We are going to go from trotro station to trotro station. We are going to go from house to house. We are going to go from shop to shop.

”Don’t wait till the campaign teams come before you come and follow our convoy. Even when we are not there you must be working."

He officially launched the campaign, stating, "And so on this occasion we want you all to go home safely. On this occasion, as the leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, I declare the campaign NDC campaign for the 2024 election duly launched.”
