The Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom, Dickson Adomako-Kissi, has shared his interpretation of the results from the recent presidential and parliamentary elections.
He has embraced the perception that the outcome was a vote of no confidence in the current administration.
According to Adomako-Kissi, the NPP's defeat can be attributed to a lack of confidence in the government, rather than low voter turnout.
In an interview shared on X by Citi FM, the MP said, “I think it was a vote of no confidence more than anything else in the current administration. And for better or worse, as my people would say, it is what it is.”
He explained that Ghanaians expressed their views through their votes, reflecting dissatisfaction with the government's actions and inactions, despite the administration believing it had performed well.
"In as much as we thought we were doing good, the metrics or the perception were different, and the people gave us what they thought was fair, based on our actions and inactions," he added
