A US-based Ghana born citizen, Madam Claudia Amaniapong has said it was a good decision Ghanaians booted out the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration from office exactly a year ago.
“I have been in Ghana for eight years. 2009 I opened a bakery and I was buying a bag of flour GH¢58 up to last year it GH¢138 …the fifteen kilo gas was GH¢69 now we buy it GH¢250” she revealed.
“It was right Mahama was voted out”, Madam Claudia Amaniapong spoke on Kumasi-based Ultimate FM’s morning show during assessment of Akufo-Addo’s New Patriotic Party led administration one year in visit
As Ghanaian electorate is justified to replace NDC with NPP after a year on, Madam Claudia Amaniapong revealed she has no competence to determine the Akufo-Addo government is doing well or otherwise.
“I haven’t got PhD or Masters so I am speaking as an ordinary Ghanaian”, Madam Claudia Amaniapong told host Lantam Papako during an in-studio discussion.
“I am an ordinary citizen. …I am not a politician [and] I don’t know the figures they work round”, she added.
According to her, though she did not partake in the 2016 polls but her wish to see NDC out of power and be replaced by NPP has come true.
“I laid off some of my workers. It is too early but I just hope NPP does a good a job. …Within a year Nana Appear to be doing quite a lot”, Madam Claudia Amaniapong stated.
