The Philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tarkwa based JOY Foundation, Miss Jocelyn Andoh has come to the aid of twelve vulnerable orphans who are brilliant but needy through a sponsorship package which includes financial supports.
The twelve were presented with the foundation's customised books, school bags, footwears and other educational logistics to assist them in their learning.
The twelve who personally appealed to the benevolent CEO during the Boxing Day's party organised by the JOY Foundation for both vulnerable and invulnerable children at Tarkwa Gold Fields Junior staff Club house where over two thousand children were feted, were so excited and thanked her for the kind gesture extended to them that will enable them go back to school with smiles.
The CEO in an interview with GhanaWeb said JOY Foundation will soon roll out a program tagged 'GET BACK TO SCHOOL' which over a hundred vulnerable children who have dropped out from school will be provided with free books, bags, sandals, uniforms and some substantial amount to encourage them to go back to school.
She commended the Government for successfully introducing FREE SHS which has enabled a lot of children to be enrolled and appealed to individuals and organizations to assist Government efforts in getting these vulnerable school drop outs back to school to avoid being engaged in social vices which will not be good for the country's security.
The presentation took place at her residence in Tarkwa to also commemorate the first Constitutional Day being January 7.
