Jake Must Spare Us His Barmy Tribal War Cry

The NYC wishes to reveal that, the NPP finding it extremely difficult to market their flagbearer, and realising that Ghanaians will not make a mistake next year by voting for Akufo-Addo to become President of Ghana and hand over the nation to the alleged international drug cartel, and also use Ghana’s oil resources to fund wayward activities, the NPP’s National Chairman, Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey has decided to incite Akans to get up in arms to cause mayhem after the Electoral Commission declares President Atta Mills winner.

Very conscious of his agenda, Jake chose to spew his tribal war cry to Oman FM’s captive audience.

We are not surprised in the least that Jake Otanka Obetsebi Lamptey is wishing war upon Ghana.

Jake’s father never wished Ghana well; and we are not surprised that Jake has taken over from his father and is spending all his time wishing Ghana dead.

It remains a mystery why Jake and his NPP apologist are so desperate for power, only so that they can sell prime state lands and pocket the money as well as loot state assets. A reason for which he is inciting Akans to war.

Indeed, Nana Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer, was the one who started beating the war drums and inciting Akans to war when he made his infamous tribal inflammatory “Yen Akanfuor”, “Atiwa kwraa yetseree biibi kakra woho” and “All die be die” statements in Koforidua.

When Jake talks about Akans being in the majority in Cote d’Iviore, and that it is Akans who fought Gbagbo, it is a big and palpable lie.

The question is, is Alassane Ouattara an Akan?

The people from the Northern parts of Cote D’Iviore who fought Laurent Gbagbo; are they Akans?

For a person who is so academically deficit, it is not surprising that Jake does not know the ethnic configuration of Cote D’Iviore.

Certainly, Jake Otanka Obetsebi was only attempting to feed on the perceived ignorance of the audience he was addressing and confuse them into believing that if their Akan brethren fought in Cote D’Iviore, they should also gird their loins and fight in a needless war in Ghana.

It is ipso facto that all things being equal; and with President Atta Mills firmly in control of the Better Ghana agenda, there is no way majority of Ghanaians will vote for Akufo-Addo to lead the country down the path of drugs, money laundering and unrighteousness hence the desperate move to incite Akans to war.

The NPP is lost in the woods and finding it extremely difficult to save Akufo-Addo and the party from drowning in the sea of drugs, money laundering and infamy, so Jake has decided that the “all die be die” war drums must be beaten with more intensity.

The NDC Youth Committee is calling on all civil society groups, the so called policy think thanks and religious bodies to immediately rise up and condemn the irresponsible utterance of the NPP National Chairman.

The loud silence of civil society groups and religious bodies over Jake’s war cry is unacceptable.

The nauseating silence of civil society groups and religious bodies when Akufo-Addo and his NPP say and do the wrong things is unacceptable.

We would also want to draw the attention of the security agencies to the act of subversion by the NPP Chairman and their Flagbearer.

Only God knows the copious noise that would have been made if it was NDC Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, who made such an irresponsible statement.

When Dr. Kwabena Adjei used the idiomatic expression “Many ways of killing a cat” in relation to manner in which the judiciary was hell-bent on embarrassing the NDC Government, hell broke loose.

Yet when Akufo-Addo and Jake make extremely irresponsible statements, the same groups and persons pretend not to have ears.

We do not wish war upon Ghana but if it does happen, our civil society groups and religious bodies should know that they shall not be spared.

The hypocrisy and double standards must stop; Ghana is the only country we have and we must all work hard to protect the peace we are enjoying.

We want Jake and his assigns to know that wishes are not horses and so their wish for Ghana to burn will never see the light of day.

Besides, there are more discerning Akans than Jake can imagine and there is no way such discerning minds will assimilate Jake’s tribal bigotry and throw this dear nation of ours into a state of war and inferno.

If Jake wants to die, he can go ahead with his family and leave the rest of us to live in peace and enjoy the Better Ghana.

His Excellency President Atta Mills is building a Better Ghana and no amount of war mongering from ‘evil’ minds like Jake, will stop what God has willed for this dear nation of ours.

Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and the NPP should be treated with the contempt they deserve, since they remain a disgrace to Mother Ghana.

Peter Boamah Otokunor
