The flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has said his experiences on the labour front clearly indicate that Ghanaians are not lazy.
According to him, many graduates are toiling for jobs because of the country’s political structure.
“We must change our approach to politics, we must change our approach to life in Ghana to doing those things that will bring jobs,” Nduom said.
Speaking to students at the Islamic University in Accra, the business mogul alluded he is accomplished when it comes to the establishment of businesses and has the panacea to cure the nation’s high unemployment burden.
He added that the main reason why his bank (GN Bank) has expanded beyond the regional capital is to tap the skills of the many unemployed graduates in the hinterlands to help the development of their areas.
Dr. Nduom led the CPP in the 2012 elections and will be seeking to do same on the ticket of the PPP ahead of the November polls. He has also stated that he will no longer contest for any political office after the 2016 elections.
