National Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has said the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu should shut-up up in his attempt to defend the corrupt Akufo-Addo government.
According to him, Mr John Boadu has no moral right to defend corruption in the Akufo -Addo government.
” I’m very surprise John Boadu is defending scandals under the Akufo – Addo government, he should rather shut up if he is not on top of issues,” Sammy Gyamfi exclusively told Kwame Tutu on Anopa Nkomo on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7.
“John Boadu should tell the President to arrest corrupt appointees in his government,’ he added
The NDC National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi said so far President Nana Akufo-Addo’s fight against corruption has been a ‘mere’ “administrative remedy of dismissing people.”
Sammy Gyamfi said corruption cases like the visa racketeering that rocked Ghana’s 2018 Commonwealth Games participation justify the wide perception that the current government is steeped in the graft.
According to the firebrand politician, it’s more disappointing as the NPP led government rode on the back of an anti-corruption agenda to win power.
He added that there has not been a time in this country; the nation has seen a corruption infested government as the ruling NPP.
