Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has urged the people of the Northern Region to make a decisive choice between the two Northern presidential candidates in the December 7 elections.

He emphasized that John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, is a better choice than Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, and encouraged a massive vote for Mahama.

Speaking at the NDC campaign launch on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the Northern Region, Mahama Ayariga compared the candidates, highlighting Mahama's successful tenure as chairman of the economic management team, which saw Ghana achieve the world's highest economic growth rate of 14.5% in 2010.

In contrast, he criticized Dr. Bawumia's tenure for economic mismanagement, citing the collapse of the banking and financial sectors.

Mr. Ayariga stressed the election's importance in determining the country's future direction, urging the electorate to vote for John Mahama to restore good governance, prosperity, and fairness.
