John Mahama now a global model – Atik Mohammed

A policy analyst of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed, has described President John Mahama as a “global model” for posing for the cameras in front of the headquarters of international media house, CNN.

The president after granting an interview to CNN in Atlanta, USA took a picture in front of a huge logo of the company.

The picture later went viral on social media and most Ghanaians went berserk questioning the motive behind it.

Many have expressed disappointment in President Mahama for undermining the integrity of the presidency but his [Mahama] handlers say there is nothing wrong with it.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Atik Mohammed said President Mahama’s conduct was to be expected.

According to him, this can only come from a "visionless president" he claimed lacks alternative solution to the country’s problems.

“Ghana is in crisis and you [Mahama] are going about posing for pictures. This explains the kind of president we have,” he stressed.

He bemoaned the socio-economic hardship Ghanaians have been subjected to by the “incompetent" Mahama-led administration and yet the “priority of the president is to pose for pictures at CNN and publish it in newspapers”.

Atik Mohammed stated that the act by President Mahama is enough prove that he does not care about the plight of Ghanaians.

“Majority of Ghanaians can’t afford the basics of life and our president is chilling out in the US. He has become a global model,” he stressed.
