In a significant statement, John Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, vowed that the upcoming NDC administration will elevate the newly created regions, including the North East, to match the development levels of Ghana’s existing regions.
Speaking at the Gambaraanaa Palace, where he paid a courtesy visit to the acting chief and joined the community in mourning, Mahama emphasized the urgent need to enhance the infrastructure and basic amenities of the six new regions established by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“The status of these new regions needs to be raised in terms of infrastructure and other basic amenities,” Mahama stated.
He assured that under the next NDC government, significant investments will be made to ensure that the North East and other newly formed regions receive the necessary support to thrive alongside Ghana’s established regions.
Mr Mahama’s commitment highlights the NDC’s focus on regional development and equitable distribution of resources.
By prioritizing infrastructure improvements and the provision of essential services, the NDC aims to foster balanced growth and improve the quality of life for residents in all regions of Ghana.
