As a joint response against the spread of Coronavirus in Ghana, Coca-Cola will finance a free nationwide delivery campaign through the eCommerce platform to ensure consumers access to supply nationwide.

Africa’s leading e-Commerce platform Jumia has announced a partnership with The Coca-Cola Bottling Company on its “Stay Home” campaign, to ensure easy and safer access to supply for consumers, wherever they are located in Ghana.

This has become crucial in the wake of COVID-19, to ensure that all consumers who need access to supply of Coca-Cola products can do so from the comfort of their homes, without queuing up at store fronts and risking exposure.

“We are proud to partner with Coca-Cola to ensure our customers and communities have fair access to these products at the most affordable price. E-commerce platforms like ours, with e-payment and last mile delivery capabilities, are uniquely positioned to be part of Africa’s response strategy to this pandemic and we are swiftly taking actions. Our Jumia Heroes - delivery and warehouse operations staff - are at the frontlines taking all necessary precautions to ensure our customers continue to use ecommerce as a safe way to shop in this challenging time.”, said Diana Owusu-Kyereko, CEO of Jumia.

“We at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana are pleased to partner with Jumia to offer our cherished consumers access to our products from the comfort of their homes. As community stakeholders, we are strongly motivated to make our brands available to families and frontline workers “within arms’ reach” to complete their repertoire of products to hydrate and refresh during these difficult times. We believe it is then our responsibility to facilitate safe access to brand favourites such as Coke, Fanta, and Sprite, and hope that this helps to maintain a semblance of normalcy in homes as our consumers go about working, studying or enjoying leisure time with family.” – Sabina Manu,

Marketing & Innovations Director, The Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

In that regard, Jumia has partnered with The Coca-Cola Bottling Company to offer Free delivery nationwide from April 20 on the company’s sparkling soft drinks Coca-Cola™, Fanta™, and Sprite™, in Ghana and Nigeria.

This is also aligned with Jumia’s actions to support governments in their fight against COVID-19 which include:

?Facilitation of social distancing by enabling consumers to buy online. By offering contactless delivery options, we eliminate physical contact and potentially reduce person to person infection.

?Providing access to affordable basic foods and sanitary essentials on the marketplace platform via its “Stay Home” campaign. By partnering with thousands of vendors, we are able to maintain fair prices and fight against speculation.

?Providing Free nationwide delivery on essentials - through partnerships with brands like leading FMCGs to ensure fair access to essential supplies.
