Talks between the health minister Kwaku Owusu Afriyie and junior workers Monday have failed to produce any concrete results.
The health workers? group which includes the National Junior Doctors? Association last week, embarked on a temporary strike action that has attracted some condemnation from the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Rev. Professor Seth Ayittey who described their action as irresponsible.
The doctors are urging for a restructuring of their status on the Ghana Universal Salary Structure.
The spokesman of the Korle-Bu branch of the Junior Doctors? Association, Dr. Michael Akunor, told Joy News after yesterday?s meeting that he was disappointed that the health minister could not help them solve the problem once and for all at the meeting.
Dr. Akunor said although they did not receive any concrete response from the minister, negotiations will continue Tuesday.
