Justice Ennin Yeboah grabs wife after election petition

Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah, one of the nine Supreme Court Justices that heard the 2012 election petition, yesterday tied the knot with his wife Maame Animah popularly known as ‘Mama’.

The wedding ceremony was held at the plush Nhyiaeso residence of Mrs. Amankwah, a sister of Mama, and it was graced by important personalities in society including chiefs, politicians and business tycoons.

Justice Anin Yeboah and his dear wife were beaming with smiles as they exchanged wedding vows in front of a sizeable crowd who were all clad in white apparel, the dress code for the occasion.

The Supreme Court Justice’s wife is one of the most popular women in Kumasi, the Ashanti region capital, today. She is said to be wealthy and owns a chain of businesses.

Mama is the owner of the popular drinking pub in the Garden City, ‘Plus 2’, which is situated near Dakwadwom. She is also said to be the owner of another popular drinking pub called ‘Sweet Pub.’

At a point during the ceremony, which was supervised by some top men of God in the city, an elated Justice Anin Yeboah was seen hugging and kissing his wife.

The excited crowd was equally happy to see the Supreme Court Judge displaying abundant love to his wife in public, so they also responded with cheers anytime the groom hugged or kissed the bride.

The immense popularity of the newly-weds attracted a sizeable number of people from all parts of the country and abroad to the event.

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP,) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), were well represented at the flamboyant wedding.

NPP General Secretary Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka ‘Sir John’ and Bekwai Member of Parliament (MP) Joe Osei Owusu, were among the leading NPP gurus in attendance.

From the NDC, Francis Dodovi, the spokesperson of the Ashanti Regional Minister was seen at the event in the company of Nana Mensah Bonsu aka ‘Atiki’ and Napoleon Ade.

Other prominent people spotted at the event were two sons of Ashanti royal Nana Akwasi Agyeman, and they are Dr. Agyeman aka ‘Ogyam’ of KATH and Nana Atta Poku of Urban Roads, Kumasi.

Former Ashanti Regional Police commander, COP Frank Adu Poku was also seen in the company of OPK, one of the most hardworking and popular policemen at the Kumasi Central Police Station.

Business tycoons such as Nana KB, whose company manufactures Ice Cool Cream and Alhaji Moro, the Kumasi Zongo Nkosuohene, who is also a popular car dealer in the city, were also there.

Other people present were Kofi Annoh, Barimma Yaw and Mrs. Faustina Amankwah.

An assortment of food items and drinks were served at the wedding, which was organized in a flamboyant manner that even some selected guests received gift items from the couple as souvenirs, a rare feature of weddings.

The men of God that supervised the ceremony prayed for a trouble-free marriage for the Supreme Court Justice and his dear wife after the couple had exchanged rings.
