Justice for Ahmed Suale: We are still mounting pressure on authorities – GJA President

GJA president Affail Monney says his outfit is mounting the necessary pressure on officials to speed up investigations into the murder of Ahmed Suale.

It has been over a year since the investigative journalist was gruesomely murdered, however, the family of the late journalist is yet to receive justice for their son, brother, and husband.

But the GJA president, in an interview with www.ghanaweb.com said his outfit has contacted the necessary organizations to help get to the root of the matter.

“We have held press conferences, issued statements and contacted the committee to protect journalists, international press entity, and amnesty international in an attempt to pile up pressure on officials to speed up investigations into the case,” he established.

Mr Affail Monney said the GJA has come out to condemn Amhed Suale’s death in the most tragic circumstances.

Ahmed Suale’s death

Investigative journalist with Tiger Eye Private Investigations, Ahmed Hussein Suale was murdered by unknown assailants in his vehicle on January 16, 2019.

Ahmed was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while he was driving home by unidentified men.

He was, till his demise, part of a team of undercover journalists led by renowned investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
