Private legal practitioner and Vice President of IMANI Ghana, Kofi Bentil, has eulogised the late veteran Ghanaian diplomat, K. B. Asante.

News about Mr Asante’s demise emerged in the early hours of Monday January 22. He was 93 years old.

Mr Asante was the Secretary to Ghana's first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah. He also served as the principal secretary at the African Affairs Secretariat from 1960 to 1966. He was also the president of the Ga Dangme Council at a point.

Commenting on his demise on Facebook, Mr Bentil said: “He was a walking history book. I never got tired of listening to him. “He gave me some first accounts of our history unwritten anywhere eg. how remorseful Nkrumah was when JB died. How I wished I could download his memories. May he Rest In Peace.”
