Ghana forward Kevin Prince Boateng believes player wages and salaries will be paid according to performance following the impact of Coronavirus on the finances of clubs.

According to the 33 year old, players these days earn huge salaries which does not match their input on the field.

The former AC Milan forward also adds that there will be several positive changes to football after the pandemic.

"Football will be different after the corona," he told Sport 1. "Transfer fees, salaries will change. Money will be treated very differently and I think it's a positive thing.

"Having a player a good season does not mean that he will earn 8 million euros annually the next season. At age 18, Kovac said to me, 'If you drive a Ferrari, you should play like Ferrari.' There are a lot of football players driving Ferrari right now, but almost no one playing like Ferrari," he added.

Boateng is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, where he played six times scoring twice before the suspension of football in Turkey.
