Many Ghanaians are still in a state of shock and disbelief after news of the passing of popular radio personality, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, fondly known as KABA.

It has however come to light that the journalist was only 37 years at the time of his passing. The revelation of his age has broken several hearts as many people are of the view that he was probably too young to die.

Unconfirmed reports emanating from some sources reveal that the journalist died as a result of a medical condition termed hypoglycemia which is a situation where the patient has low blood sugar but high Blood Pressure (BP).

Ghanaians from all walks of life have expressed their condolence to the bereaved family, colleagues and friends of the late journalist.

Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong got married only in June last year and it is reported that he has a child with his wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie. It is also reported that the “Eko si sen?” radio show host was the only child of his parents.

An account leading to the death of the journalist has it that he was rushed to the hospital from a popular prayer camp in Nsawam after operators of the facility realized that his situation was getting out of hand.

The 37-year old journalist was noted for his vigorous anti-corruption campaigns. He was also known for his aggressive stance in demanding an answer to questions of national interest.

To this end, he was even lauded by General Mosquito for always putting him on the edge of his seat with his intelligent questions. News of his untimely demise hit social media in the early hours of Saturday, November 18.

It is reported that he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
