KKDâ??s rape case not over yet - Lawyer

The State can still go ahead to prosecute ace broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) although his alleged rape victim has written to the Attorney General to drop the case.
KKD has been in police custody for over two weeks for allegedly having non-consensual sex with 19-year-old Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson.
The CEO of Finest Productions has not denied the sexual act in a washroom of the African Regent Hotel, but maintains it was done with Thompson’s say-so ahead of a show the duo attended.
The lady in question is no longer interested in the case because she wants to put the whole saga behind her and reorganise her life saying, "God will give her justice."
The two-page letter, was also copied to the Chief Justice, the Registrar of the High Court and the top hierarchy of the Ghana Police service.
Despite the latest development, a lecturer at the University of Ghana Law School, Dr Poku Adusei, said “it’s not over yet.”
Speaking to Accra-based Joy FM, he said “the State can decide to go ahead with the KKD case” and still use Ms Thompson as a prosecution witness if they have basis to do so.
Meanwhile, the police have served notice it will consult the attorney general for advice.
