Lawyer Martin Waana-ang was named the overall best student at the 2024 Call to the Bar ceremony, receiving the prestigious Mensah Sarbah Award and the Best Student in Civil Procedure Award.

As the top student in this year’s Professional Law Course, Martin has consistently excelled academically throughout his career.

A valedictorian and first-class honours graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), his accomplishments have earned him widespread recognition.

During his time at KNUST, Martin was honoured by the Lebanese Embassy in Ghana for his outstanding academic achievements.

His impressive academic record continued into his legal studies, where he placed second in the highly competitive Ghana School of Law entrance exams, according to a report by The Law Platform.

Martin earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from KNUST in 2022, after excelling at St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary in Wa, his alma mater.
