KNUST expects 1500 final year students back on campus

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) expects a total of 1,500 out of 13,000 final year students on campus to complete the last phase of their academic work.

Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, Head of University Relations of KNUST, told GhanaWeb that these students comprise those offering the Human Sciences programmes such as "Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Optometry and Veterinary Medicine.”

With respect to other final year students who were unable to participate in the virtual learning organised by KNUST due to reasons beyond their control, Dr. Bekoe said such persons “are to contact their Heads of Department and come to campus to complete their coursework”.

He added: “All other students will continue with the online/virtual learning program which is 80-85 per cent done.”

Meanwhile, KNUST in a press statement has clarified: “All online assignments and assessments should be completed by June 30, 2020...Examiners should process results of all students for consideration by Departmental/Faculty/College Boards latest by July 15, 2020".
