Kasoa Chiefs commend President Mahama

The chiefs and people of Awutu Traditional Area, on Wednesday commended President John Dramani Mahama for initiating development projects in their locality.

They have accordingly promised to support President Mahama's administration to execute those projects for the benefit of the people and beyond.

The chiefs made the promise when they presented a statement read by Nai Seidu Yusif Abudulai II when they called on Mr Prosper Douglas Bani, Chief of Staff at the Flagstaff House, Kanda.

The chiefs, numbering 17 were at the Presidency to commend President Mahama and to pledge their support for him to carry out his constitutional mandate of developing the countries.

The chiefs mentioned the fulfillment of the promise to construct the Kasoa interchange during the 2012 elections campaign, the establishment of the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly with the headquarters at Kasoa and the on-going construction of link roads in the Municipality.

The other projects they mentioned were the upgrading and construction of Kasoa Health Centre into a modern Polyclinic, approval for construction of a senior high school in Kasoa and the approval for the construction of the major road from Kasoa to Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region.

Mr Bani in his response commended them for their unity and peaceful co-existence in the Traditional Council and gave the assurance that government would continue to perform its duties to satisfy the people.

He said President Mahama is making strides to redeem all his campaign promises throughout the country in the areas of roads, health facilities, schools and other infrastructure.

Mr Bani urged to continue to ensure peace, cleanliness and take good care of their children in school.
