Outspoken Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has ordered management of his Net 2 TV station to immediately cease the broadcast of ‘The Seat Show’ hosted by Justice Annan due to what he calls ‘unwarranted, baseless’ personal attacks on big men in the New Patriotic Party, key among them being National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah.

In an appearance on ‘The Dialogue’, another show on Net2 TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Kennedy Agyapong said some of the attacks on the Seat Show was too personal and had no facts to back them. He said as a “principled man”, he only attacks people when he has facts of wrongdoing.

According to him, he was so upset about the attacks of the Seat host on Kan Dapaah, National Security Minister.

“I called and ask them what kind of program are you doing? Especially Kan Dapaah’s own. I was so upset. You insult Kan Dapaah and say ‘I dare you..you have to be sacked and so on..’.. No No No. The program we have to shut it down. Where he was going no no no…” The NPP MP said.

“People have built their reputations over the years so if I don’t have the facts I won’t come and sit and destroy their reputation… When we were in Germany, the whites used to come and take Frimpong Boateng with helicopter. He is that good. What I am only saying is that when it comes to the fight against galamsey, he has failed.” He added.

The Assin MP went on:

“Justice and Safo I am warning you. You did not bring this program [The Seat] here just to come and derogate people’s success and whatever. He [host of the Seat] was so hostile. I called you several times to ask. what is happening. What is happening? Me I am very principled.” He fumed.

“You cannot use my TV station to destroy people’s personality. You’re screaming as if your facts are alright. They are not because I have a lot of information I am not sharing with you. And I am no stupid. … There are certain things that we must straighten. Yes they have failed the president [in galamsey] and I will continue to talk about it. But the way they talk about it I disagree.”
