Kennedy Agyapong marks birthday with philanthropic gesture

To commemorate his 64th birthday, a stalwart of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong, has donated essential items worth thousands of cedis to major orphanage homes across the country, including the Kumasi Children's Home.

The items donated include learning material, beverages, assorted drinks, foodstuffs, toiletries, oil, bags of rice, and provisions among others

Presenting the items on behalf of Mr Agyapong, the Secretary to the NPP's Ashanti Regional Reconciliation Committee, Mr. Williams Kusi, noted that the gesture was a way of thanking God for His blessings and mercies.

According to Mr. Kusi, Kennedy Agyapong's difficult childhood experiences have driven his desire to empower Ghanaian youth.

"He wants to encourage the children and push them to reach higher heights," he said.

"This philanthropic gesture by Mr. Agyapong demonstrates his commitment to giving back to society and supporting the well-being of vulnerable children."

He added that Kennedy Agyapong will as part of his birthday celebration, meet with friends and family for a reunion in Accra

The Home Manager for Kumasi Children's Home, Maybel Pinaman Boama, expressed gratitude to Mr Agyapong for his kind gesture, noting that the items donated would go a long way in supporting the home's management.

She prayed for a successful and fruitful year for the former MP.
