The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has once again courted controversy after clashing with a police officer.

The legislator, who is known for his outspoken and confrontational nature, was involved in a heated exchange with the Central Regional Police Commander, DCOP Paul Manly Awini.

In a 20-second video that has gone viral on social media, the maverick MP is seen approaching the officer while hurling threats at him.

Although it is not clear what Mr. Agyapong was saying, his actions depicted an angry man ready to confront the said police officer.

It took the intervention of other policemen at the scene to pull the lawmaker away from the scene and to restore calm.

Mr. Agyapong was recently in the news for allegedly inciting violence against deceased member of the Tiger Eye PI team, Ahmed Hussein Suale.

The Assin Central MP, while speaking on Net 2 TV, urged the public to beat up the investigative journalist if he shows up anywhere near the premises of the television station.

This led to a section of Ghanaians pointing accusing fingers at Mr. Agyapong following the gruesome murder of Ahmed Suale earlier this year.
