Ketasco North America Alumni get together in New Jersey

Past students of Keta Senior High School, Keta, Ghana, resident in North America met in the City of Roselle, New Jersey on May 24, 2014, for a never-to-be-forgotten get-together. The venue for the event was the Sphinx Banquet Hall in Roselle.

The main idea was to raise funds to support the school in the various projects being undertaken.

Pastor Tim Semekor gave a powerful prayer to open the way for Dr. Bernard Gadagbui who gave a heart warming welcome address. He did not hide his surprise at the turn out of this maiden event that was hastily convened to give impetus to our monthly telephone conference calls.. He took the opportunity to introduce the members of the interim executive committee as follows

Vice Secretary: Dr. Bernard Gadagbui
Treasurer: Dr. Kwasi Mawuenyega

A special thanks was extended to the planning committee with particular reference to Norvy Akaba and Elsie Ziddah Dogbatse who did the foot work to secure the event and picnic locations for the association.

Speaking on behalf of Torgbui Agbesi Awusu II, himself a past student, the president called on all past students in North America to rally to the call to make meaningful contributions to build Ketasco into a better school than we left it. He thanked those who have made contributions into the international fund as well as those who selflessly contributed to make the get-together possible. The president extended special thanks to friends of Ketasco who came from schools like OLA, Mawuli, Presec, Accra Academy, Accra High etc.
Music was provided by MARJ Sounds based in Maryland, led by Nii Ankrah and supported by Pee Dee who stole the show for both the banquet and picnic days as the best server in the city of Roselle, if not in the whole of New Jersey.

On the following day, May 25, 2014, the event was crowned with a picnic at the Warinanco Park in the City of Linden, New Jersey.

The first get-together would be a time to remember!
