In the previous serial on the possible candidates that could become the next running mate for the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) John Dramani Mahama, GhanaWeb placed its focus on Sylvester Mensah.
This time, the ball is in the court of Kingsley Kwame Awuah-Darko, a former Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST).
Awuah-Darko was also the 2020 Spokesperson on Trade and Industry of the NDC.
His name, like the previous one that GhanaWeb has worked on in this series, is not coming up for the first time for the role of a running mate.
It is worth mentioning that these articles are being written on the back of claims by the Daily Guide newspaper, dated July 28, 2023, that the NDC party was engaged in an extensive consultative process to determine the most suitable replacement for Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who was the running mate in 2020.
The newspaper report stated that sources close to the former president revealed that a listening survey is being conducted among NDC delegates to gauge their preferences for Mahama's new running mate.
But today, GhanaWeb’s focus is on Kingsley Kwame Awuah-Darko, looking at his detailed profile as it has been made available by the Digital Foot Soldiers Live Network.
