National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has said the improvement seen under President John Dramani Mahama is four times what any government has achieved.
He observed that the country is expected to see infrastructure projects and social interventions under every government but the massive infrastructure by the current NDC government is commendable and thus called for President Mahama to be retained.
Talking about water expansion, Kofi Adams who was speaking on Badwam on Adom TV on Thursday morning, pointed out that the NDC government has done 18 percent compared to the two (2%) percent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) did in all its eight (8) years in power.
He narrowed his analysis down to the Aburi South Constituency and said the road linking Aburi from Nsawam has been there for a long time, yet it was only constructed and asphalted by the NDC government.
Kofi Adams added that the Aburi town roads and the other projects have made the chiefs and people of the area to express their satisfaction and endorsement for a second term bid of President Mahama.
But O. B Amoah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwapim South Constituency on the same show objected to claims by the NDC National Organiser, saying President Kufuor constructed the rocky Aburi-Ayi Mensah road and made it a dual carriage when past governments were experiencing difficulty to execute it.
According to him, the constituency was a beneficiary of the millennium challenge account of which a pack house was established.
He disclosed that even some of the agriculture roads constructed in 2011 under the NDC by notable executives are currently in deplorable states.
O.B Amoah dared to say that projects in his name in the district are more than what the assembly has done, chiefly citing health, educational, water and electricity facilities as partmof the things he has done in the district.
He then wondered what the assembly has done with its common fund.
