Kofi Bentil ‘Schools’ WAEC on Solving Exams Leakages

The Vice President of IMANI Ghana, Mr. Kofi Benti has given out free consultancy to Very Rev. Samuel Ollenu’s WAEC on how to prevent Examination leakages in the country.

According to the internationally acclaimed policy analyst, the examination body should make it a point not to centralize all their operations.

“When you have a central system, you have a single point of failure and all effort will be concentrated to breach it, because it is easy and worthwhile!”, he stated.

Mr. Kofi Bentil made these statements Wednesday evening on his Facebook Timeline.

Below is the full write up;

Solution!
1. Place the exam questions on a pen drive with heavy duty encryption and password. Give each center one drive.

2. Provide a printer per exam location (they can even be rented).
An hour to start of exam release the password to the head invigilator at each center, (by SMS, or by special scratch cards which they will scratch off in full view of everyone and enter the password) so they open the file and print the exam questions. Finish printing all and then distribute for exam to start.

3. I do believe this is possible for every exam centre, but just in case it is not. Have the papers printed at the nearest place possible and transported to that remote center within 2 hours. Motorbikes are all you need!

Actually this will be cheaper and more effective than printing everything centrally at a press, and then having police and other security guarding them etc. etc., and then still getting leaks!!

When you have a central system, you have a single point of failure and all effort will be concentrated to breach it, because it is easy and worthwhile!

BTW, another way to solve this is.

1. Tell WAEC that if the exam papers leak next time we will stop using your system and therefore you all will lose your jobs in Ghana..... leaks will stop!
in case you are in doubt our mPedigree system can do this, ask Bright Simons Franklin Cudjoe, Selorm Branttie
