Kofi Jumah, Campaign Manager Draw Daggers

The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, and the assemblymember for New Suame, Nana Kofi Senyah are at each others throat over allegations of impropriety on the part of the KMA boss. Mr. Jumah, who is contesting the Asokwa Constituency on the ticket of the NPP, recently appointed Nana Senyah as his campaign manager, but Nana Senyah canceled the romance following a public denunciation of Kofi Jumah.

Nana Senyah, a long standing critic of Kofi Jumah's administration, alleges that the KMA Chief Executive has been spending the assembly's money "by heart" and made reference to a recent trip the Mayor made to Ivory Coast with a large number of people who "have no business doing with KMA but whose bills were put before the assembly".

This new development has seen the KMA drifting back into chaos as a section of the members led by Nana Senyah have renewed their agitation for the removal of Kofi Jumah.

This has come as a shock to many residents of the metropolis who thought that with the appointment of Nana Senyah as his campaign manager, Kofi Jumah had finally put his "troubles" at the KMA behind him.

The Heritage has learnt that with the deterioration of relations between Kofi Jumah and Nana Senyah, the Metropolitan Chief Executive will go ahead and pursue a ?250m writ he filed against Nana Senyah and four others for libel in the beginning of the year.

Kofi Jumah, in appointing Nana Senyah as his campaign manager, promised to withdraw the suit but rescinded his decision after the current impasse between them.
