Kofi Portuphy is a game changer

Story by: Kojo Hadjor

It is becoming increasingly clear that the delegates of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have made up their minds and thumps ready to vote for the man they have unanimously described as the GAME CHANGER when the party goes to congress later this year to elect new executives.

Already reports from the delegates across the country points to the fact that the National Coordinator for the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Sir Dr Kofi Portuphy is enjoying a commanding lead and the potential of winning the congress comprehensively.

The entreaties of many people including party members, delegates, ministers, Assembly members, MMDCE’s and many more others from across the globe gives ‘Uncle Pee’ affectionately called the realization of the fact that there is more fire in his belly, and the gas that keeps the fire burning is his strong attachment to his vision of reviving ailing party structures and keeping the party on a positive footing of winning the 2016 general elections comprehensively.

Dr. Sir Kofi Portuphy is a man who believes in the NDC and the potential of the rank and file of the party to coming together to build a strong and resilient party that could stand the thirst of time and keep the hopes and aspirations of the people aglow.

He is a man who is well connected to the masses and had assured to work effectively and efficiently to make everybody’s contribution matter as far as winning the 2016 elections and sustaining the momentum of the victory.

Ebenezer Kofi Ofori Portuphy is the current NADMO boss, Vice chairman of the NDC and director of elections for the party.

He had been a mayor of Accra, a national coordinator for the peoples defense committee and workers defense committee.

He was a member of the food vacation task force, director of operations for the national repatriation task force.

He established and wrote a program for the national mobilization program which provided social and economic mobilization support to the national economic recovery program.

It is clear from his credentials though not all that the man Kofi Portuphy stood a good chance of becoming the next chairman of the ruling NDC.

He is accessible, affable, kind and will not run out of office as if the kitchen was too hot.

He had promised to work with every member of the NDC to build a strong and viable party. He wishes to jealously guards and protect the victory of the party and open his office to all should he be given the mandate by the party’s revered delegates.

From the ten regions of the country uncle Pee has been giving the name ‘’the game changer’’ because we believe and have reposed our trust in the fact that he had shown by deed and word that he cares for the party and not individuals within the party, Kofi a newly elected party official in the Brong Ahafo region said.

So far a few names have popped out as potential candidates for the most coveted position including a former general secretary of the party Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, the incumbent Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Mr. Dan Abodakpi.

Kofi Portuphy has the can do, must do and will do type of leadership that can help the NDC fulfill its mandate of making lives better for all and not a minority few.God willing and the majority of delegates consenting, giving the opportunity in 2016, he is confident the NDC will certainly win.

In Dr Kofi Portuphy’s own words ‘’I seek the chairmanship of the NDC so together we can build a better party, make life bearable for our party members and inspire hope among current and next generations. Come let’s work together,’’ Kofi said.

Uncle Pee had hit the road with his message of hope to the delegates and everywhere he went the people shout and sing here come our ‘new chairman-the game changer
