Kojo "Agoo" Bonsu Enters NDC Race?

As the National Democratic Congress prepares for the much awaited congress on December 21, a third person is preparing to join the race for the flagbearership of the party. According to THE Independent, Kojo Bonsu of Ashtead and Agoo Magazine fame is set to enter the fray.

Former Defence Minister, Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu who resigned from the NDC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) ostensibly to contest the NDC flagbearership is not running after all. Further checks by the paper at the NDC headquarters showed that apart from Prof Mills and Dr Kwesi Botchwey, quite a number of persons paid a million cedis each to obtain nomination forms for the NDC Presidential race and are yet to file their papers.

Subsequent checks at the NDC headquarters could not confirm whether Kojo Bonsu is among the persons who collected the nomination. Intelligence reports obtained by the paper indicate that foot soldiers of Kojo Bonsu have over the months worked quietly to garner support from potential delegates to enable their man stake a claim.

Kojo Bonsu has reportedly made in roads in the Northern and Ashanti Regions. The paper could not reach Kojo Bonsu for his comments but quotes an aide as saying that he will announce his decision as to whether to run or not in the next few days.
