Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, Osei Asibey Antwi says he still does not have an official vehicle to facilitate his movement because his predecessor took the assembly’s car away.
According to Asibey Antwi, while leaving office, the former Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu sent the assembly’s land cruiser V8 back to the central government.
Asibey Antwi explains, Kojo Bonsu took the decision because he()personally went to Accra to Accra to to ensure the release of the said vehicle to the office of the Chief Executive.
The KMA Chief Executive was speaking to host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkrah on the state of affairs of the assembly since he took over.
He said, “as I am talking to you I don’t have an official vehicle to facilitate my movements in the discharge of my duties.”
“Kwame, I was told the former Chief Executive took the vehicle back to the central government because he initiated the release of the vehicle for his official use and so when leaving office, he returned,” Osei Asidey Antwi narrated.
“We have done our checks and available records indeed showed the former Chief Executive has handed the vehicle back to the central government and so I am now awaiting for a vehicle to be released for my official use,” he disclosed.
