Komenda College provides PPEs to Traditional Council to help fight COVID-19

The Council and Management of Komenda College of Education has donated Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) to the Komenda Traditional Council to help halt the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The items included Veronica buckets with mechanized stand manufactured by students of the College, 50 nose masks, tissues, gallons of liquid soap, and a cheque of 10,000.00 Cedis.

Very Reverend Nkum Wilson, Principal of the College and Nana Kwesi Tandoh IV, the Government appointee on the Council, made the presentation at the Palace of Nana Kodwo Kru II, Paramount Chief of Komenda Traditional Area.

Speaking on behalf of the College, Very Reverend Wilson said, as an educational institution in the community, it deemed it prudent to donate the items to the traditional council as its widow’s might to stop the spread of the Pandemic.

“We hope that, the donation made will go a long way to help protect members of the traditional council and others who pay homage to the council from contracting the disease”, he said.

Nana Kru, who is also the President of the Traditional Council, received the items and expressed appreciation to the management of the College for considering the plight of the people of the area.

He said the items will be used for its intended purposes and expressed the hope that the gesture will further strengthen the cordial relationship between the two institutions.
