Staff of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Saturday embarked on a health walk in Accra to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the premier hospital.
The walk started from the premises of the old administration block of the hospital, through James Town to the Ministries and back to the hospital premises where participants were taken through various forms of exercise.
Reverend Albert Botchey, Acting Chief Administrator of the hospital urged the staff to continue to exercise for their well-being as prevention of diseases is always better than cure.
Mr Alex Arhin, Head of the Biostatistics Department of the hospital and Secretary to the 90th Anniversary Planning Committee said even though the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is 90 years, it is still strong and would continue to offer the best of services to Ghanaians and other foreign attendants.
“We are known for being the centre of excellence when it comes to health delivery because we provide cutting-edge services and we will continue to live up to expectation,” he said.
