The ten officials interdicted over the rot at the Pharmacy Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital are still at post, Starr News can confirm.
The workers, including the Director of the department Dr Elizabeth Bruce have been asked to step aside over the misappropriation of over GHC 900,000.
Starr News can confirm that Dr Bruce is on leave but the other interdicted officials are yet to be informed about the board’s decision.
The statement issued by the board of the hospital Thursday explained that the individuals are being investigated over the alleged financial malfeasance at the facility.
The action was triggered by the findings of an audit into the operations of the Pharmacy department of the hospital.

Ernest Chemists Ghana Ltd, a pharmaceutical company and supplier of drugs to the hospital has been asked to refund GHC21,000, which the report found to have been illegally paid.
The report made 44 recommendations and asked for a strict adherence to the Public Procurement Law.
