Asante Kotoko insist their Ghana Premier League derby clash against Hearts of Oak will come off as planned on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A section of the club's supporters has appealed to management to push for the rescheduling of the outstanding league clash claiming the players have still not recovered from the tragic car crash.

The original clash had to be postponed indefinitely last month after the Asante Kotoko team bus was involved in a fatal accident on their return to Kumasi from Accra where they had played Inter Allies in a league match.

The club's assistant kit manager lost his life with members of the technical team and playing body sustaining injuries.

Asante Kotoko's Accra and Premier League Board (PLB) representative Thomas Boakye Agyeman told the club's website: ''It hasn’t come up. We heard media discussions and reports that, we were pulling out until next week. That’s not the case. The game is coming on as planned. Everything is on course for us to clear the fixture. There’s nothing like we aren’t playing; we actually playing on Sunday as scheduled.''
