Prophet Nigel Gaisie, the founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel International, has slammed the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over alleged attacks on Rev. Owusu-Bempah the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International.
According to Prophet Nigel Gaisie, an attack on a prophet comes with consequences, so the party needs to stop such actions.
He stated that the NPP under its current leadership focuses on attacking individuals who fail to conform to their needs, unlike the leadership of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
Nigel Gaisie mentioned that if not for Owusu-Bempah, who stood his ground during the 2016 elections, the party would have lost the elections.
Speaking in an interview on Accra FM on September 18, 2024, he stated "They sent me a video where Rev. Owusu-Bempah was being attacked at Wontumi’s TV station. You see, the NPP had already lost, but the same day they arrested Owusu-Bempah, their case worsened, and they will lose.”
He continued, "They have insulted him massively and taken him to the gutters. The issue is that they said Owusu-Bempah had gone to meet Mahama and some pastors.
“This is the nature of the NPP; Kufuor’s NPP wasn’t like that. It is the nature of this current NPP that if you don’t go by what they want, their whims and caprices, they will come against you with all their arsenals available to them.
“And they have done it to almost everybody. They have attacked Bishop Agyinasare. I am not exceptional; they attack everybody.”
It may be recalled that Apostle Amoako Attah has also warned the NPP over what he referred to as an attack on his colleague pastor, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah.
“Now I want to warn the NPP, I want to warn you people that Owusu-Bempah has become your target. It won't be a blessing for you. The man is a prophet no matter what. Someone who used his church to gamble for you in 2016, for you to give him the red carpet, why are you now insulting him? Why do you want to drag Owusu-Bempah into the gutters, why?” he questioned angrily.
Amoako Attah criticized the NPP for the treatment of Owusu-Bempah, stating that it was unfair.
Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, September 15, 2024, he stated that if the NPP is now dealing with a different pastor for their affairs, Owusu-Bempah should be given a rest.
“In 2020, he stood up for you, so when things like this happen, it seems ungratefulness has set in. No matter what, Owusu-Bempah is a prophet, so give him every respect he deserves. Those who are going on the radio to insult him should stop because it won't help.
“I know Bawumia is not like that because Bawumia went to his church. This man has fought earnestly. In 2016, no prophet could come out, but this man stood up and said things that God didn’t even say just to help you people,” he lamented.
He explained that targeting Owusu-Bempah, who is a prophet of God, would come at a cost to the party.
He detailed how Owusu-Bempah had helped the NPP since 2016 and how the party is now ditching him.
“So, stop that and leave him alone. If you have a different pastor, go on because, in every dispensation, God raises a man. Owusu-Bempah cannot singlehandedly continue just like that. Give him respect. It is disheartening and I am pained so much it has been on my mind for a long time so let me say it for you to go and tell your leaders.
“You respect men of God so much, Dr. Bawumia, stop this.”
