Kumasi South Hospital honours 16 retired staff

Kumasi, Jan. 28, GNA - Sixteen retired and transferred staff of the Kumasi South Hospital at Kyirapatre have been honoured at a ceremony in Kumasi.

They were presented with certificates, tabletop refrigerators, blenders, rice cookers, ghetto blasters, wall clocks and wax prints. Dr Frank Abebrese, Medical Superintendent in-charge of the Hospital, commended the award winners for their hard work, dedication, commitment and respect for human rights. He urged those still in active service not to be complacent with the awards but to continue to work harder than before to confirm their selection for the awards.

Dr Abebrese also asked those who were on retirement to make suggestions and put forward ideas that would help to improve upon the quality of health delivery in the country and gave the assurance that such views would be welcome.

Madam Juliana Acheampong, a nursing officer who had been transferred to the Tafo Hospital and an award winner on behalf of her colleagues expressed their appreciation to the management of the Hospital for the honour and pledged to continue to work hard to reciprocate the gesture.
