Highly trolled Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo acquired the land which was used to build the Community Senior High School in the constituency from Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, her aide has revealed.

According to Dr. Emmanuel Boakye, the Deputy Majority leader played a vital role in the building of former President Mahama’s E-block facility which is the Dome-Kwabenya Senior High School.

“Adwoa Safo what she said was that she was the one who facilitated for this school to be built in the area where she was making that particular conference which is the Atomic area…. What she did was to talk to several other people…. She went to Professor Nyarko who is the director general of Ghana Atomic Energy, there are correspondents to show; that was after a discussion with the Minister in charge of Education i.e. Naana Opoku Agyemang,” he stated

“… after her own discussions earlier with certain friends and relations that she’d gotten at the World Bank, they made sure at least one place got to her. When it got to her, her role as the MP for the area was to ensure that the project was completed; which she did…” he added.

The Deputy Majority has dominated the headlines and been the subject of social media trolls after she stunned members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following claims she made about being responsible for the Dome-Kwabenya Senior High School and not the esrtwhile John Mahama administration which has taken credit for the project.

According to her, the project was realised through her collaboration with the World Bank.

In a short video that has gone viral on social media, the Legislator is seen bashing the Mahama administration over the project saying the revelation was important for the purpose of reminding her constituents of the NPP government’s unparalleled commitment to the development of the nation.

“When we were in opposition things were tough but we managed to do one or two things that I need to mention, first is this very facility we’re seated in now which is the Secondary school we have here in Dome-Kwabenya".

"There was no secondary school in this very large constituency. It was through my hard work that we have this school. It happened that the World Bank which I once worked with was bringing some money into this country for the building of secondary schools for government".

"I engaged them and they told me if I’m able to get a land with no litigation though my party is not in power they’ll give me one school. NDC built all the secondary schools in their stronghold".

"We’re the only constituency which is not NDC stronghold that has a secondary school. This should tell you the school is not from government.” Adwoa Safo said.

Members of the opposition NDC have however dispelled her assertions describing them as malicious.

At a brief press conference held at Adwoa Safo’s residence, Dr. Boakye insisted that her claims were genuine and went further to produce documents backing how the land for the school was acquired.
